Bonsai--Beautiful Works of Art

Bonsai, pronounced (bone-sigh) first appeared in China approximately two thousand years ago. Bonsai went from China to Japan and then to Europe and finally to the United States. Now they have spread throughout the world. These beautiful plants are ordinary trees not a hybrid dwarf.

Anyone who wants to grow and maintain these beautiful works of art will need to master not only the glossary of special terms relating to them but also the planting techniques including type of soil, various container information including type and size, fertilizing requirements, and watering techniques for starters. There is even a special tool kit required for tending these plants.
